And then, I drew ponies!

I donít really know what compelled me to draw this, but the idea popped into my head, and I knew I had to do it ASAP. There's actually a lot of other pony fanart that I want to do in the future. BLUH.

Some explanations or whatever:
Rarity - She was probably the easiest because there's a good variety of recognizable sewing tools and of course GEMSSSS. Also, in my mind, humanized, Rarity looks like Christina Hendricks. I don't know why I decided this, but it's basically my head-canon appearance for her.

Fluttershy - I think Fluttershy turned out the best. I was originally going to put a bird on her head, but I decided to go with a rabbit instead to represent her bunny, Angel. I tried to capture her eye shape... which is kind of droopy and sad looking.

Applejack - There is a cornucopia on her head! Also, doing that tan sort of skin was hard since my skin-tone colors range from really light peaches to dark or yellowy browns. So I had to do some mixing to get it to look somewhat normal. She's tan & freckley for obvious reasons, and also, I gave her kind of a gap tooth... because I think they can be endearing sometimes (see Sookie from True Blood). Oh and the rope bits are because she does all that lasso fanciness.

Twilight Sparkle - I was stuck on what to do with her at first. I was like... should I put books on her head??? hurrr. But then the idea of the ink bottles came about since she is always writing letters, and then I was like OWLONHEAD. Owlowiscious is one of my favorite parts of this drawing for some reason. Her skin-tone came out a tad darker than I anticipated, and I am still on the fence about Twilight with darker skin. I feel like she can work with either dark or light skin. EDIT: I decided that in my mind a human Twilight would be biracial with her mother being Asian-American of some sort & her father being African American. THE END.

Rainbow Dash - I feel like she turned out the worst. She looks so cartoony compared to everyone else, and I was really at a loss for what to do for her headpieces. I mean what do you do??? ALSO I wanted to make her more on the tan side, but it wasn't gonna work with the blue outline I was doing. OH WELL. Next time.

Pinkie Pie - THERE'S A PARTY ON HER HEAD. Appropriate for Pinkie Pie I would say. ALSO, I tried to make her skin tone "so-pale-that-it's-almost-pinkish" because SHE IS PINKIE PIE.

Welp. That's it.

I love this! It's amazingly well-drawn and you captured all of their personalities perfectly. I have two goals in life: to publish a book and to someday draw this good.

This is AWESOME! I love the idea, I love the execution, I didn't have to read the text to know what you were doing!!! Among my favorite parts, the spilling ink on Twilight Sparkle, Applejack's face/expression, Fluttershy's antlers and bunny... and Rarity is my overall favorite, I think! Her pose, expression, and hairdo/hair ornamentation is all spot-on!

On a side note, have you looked at the artist Camilla d'Errico? Something about the format of showing a bust or portrait, with a lot of symbolic items on the head/in their hair really reminded me of her. If you haven't seen her, you'll probably get a kick out of her work!

Beautifully done!

Thank you for this AWESOME COMMENT! I am really glad you like it!

and you know, I do know of Camilla d'Errico, but I never made the connection until you pointed it out! Maybe, I was subconsciously inspired! haha
